The Role
As a Senior Integration Engineer you’ll be reporting to the Head of Customer Success. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, automation, and developer experience - helping customers seamlessly integrate our internal product into their CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and workflows.
You will build scalable integration frameworks, define technical standards, and partner cross-functionally to ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support + Leadership
Strategic Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and conduct thoughtful code reviews focused on clarity, resilience, and long-term maintainability.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a technical SME, supporting Solutions Engineering and Support teams with complex, high-level customer scenarios.
Engineering Excellence: Drive standards across the team for code quality, test coverage, and secure development practices.
Problem Solving
Architectural Design: Lead the design and development of developer-facing tooling, including SDKs, Terraform blueprints, and automation toolkits.
Root Cause & Bottlenecks: Continuously identify systemic bottlenecks and replace manual, friction-heavy processes with robust automation.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Product and Customer Success to ensure technical integrations align with both product strategy and customer needs.
Process Optimization
Framework Scalability: Build reusable, scalable integration frameworks designed to work seamlessly across multiple customers and environments.
Onboarding Automation: Improve onboarding automation to remove friction from real-world developer workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Standard Setting: Define and champion best practices for integration architecture, automation patterns, and implementation standards.
Documentation + Enablement
Technical Blueprints: Create high-level blueprints, playbooks, and documentation to improve consistency for both customers and internal teams.
Community Engagement: Contribute to and support open-source initiatives, engaging with the developer community across GitHub and forums.
Knowledge Sharing: Maintain technical standards that ensure solutions remain high-quality, secure, and maintainable.
Software Expertise
Integration Evolution: Own and evolve the lifecycle of third-party integrations across CI/CD, observability, and developer platforms.
Tooling Development: Build and maintain advanced developer tooling, including SDKs and Terraform modules.
API & Workflow Mastery: Utilize deep proficiency in languages like Python, JavaScript, or Go to extend platform capabilities via REST, GraphQL, or gRPC.
Customer Advocacy + Product Influence
Developer Experience (DX): Act as the bridge between engineering and developer experience, ensuring internal products integrate smoothly into customer workflows.
Technical Representation: Represent the integration engineering function when aligning with cross-functional stakeholders on launch readiness.
Required Experience, Qualities & Skills
Technical Expertise
5+ years of experience in Application, Integration, or Software Engineering
Demonstrated experience working with technical software products or developer tooling
Strong proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go)
Domain Knowledge
Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and modern developer workflows
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and modern development environments
Preferred Skills
Building or maintaining integrations (CI/CD systems, SDKs, Terraform modules, etc.)
UNIX-like systems (Linux, macOS, WSL)
Artifact and package management, or software supply chain concepts
Cloud infrastructure, storage systems, source control, data structures & algorithms
Open-source contributions with meaningful community engagement
REST, GraphQL, or gRPC API design
AWS (certifications are a plus)
Docker, OCI, ORAS, Kubernetes (k8s, k3s)
Sigstore, Cosign, keyless signatures, or signature attestation
Grafeas, Kritis, metadata provenance
Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA)
Serverless, edge computing, distributed systems, or microservices architecture
Securing web services and addressing software vulnerabilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
