Before joining, I worked with a local recruitment agency for four years, partnering with some of Northern Irelandās leading tech companies. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for Cloudsmithās unique company culture, so I decided to take the leap and become a part of this exciting journey.š

What Does the Role of a Recruitment Operations Specialist Look Like?
As a Recruitment Specialist, I get to be the matchmaker between incredible talent and exciting opportunities within the company. Itās a fast-paced role with plenty of variety, and itās all about making sure our hiring process is seamless, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Hereās a peek at what I do:
š ļø Managing the Recruitment Engine:
Iām the go-to person for our Applicant Tracking System (Teamtailor). From posting job ads to keeping candidate workflows running smoothly, I ensure the recruitment machine is well-oiled.
š Job Descriptions & Interviews:
Every role starts with a great foundation, and I work with department heads to create clear, compelling job descriptions and structured interview kits. This helps us attract top talent and ensures a fair and consistent interview process.
š¤ Partnering with Hiring Teams:
Whether itās advising managers on recruitment best practices, coordinating with external recruiters, or managing employee referrals, Iām here to make the hiring journey as smooth and effective as possible.
š Offers & Onboarding:
Once weāve found the right candidate, I take the lead in preparing offer letters, contracts, and early-stage onboarding, including right-to-work checks. Setting people up for success from day one is one of the best parts of my role!
š Tracking Metrics & Refining Processes:
I love diving into the data! I track key metrics like time-to-hire and diversity stats, presenting insights to help improve our processes. Itās all about finding smarter ways to work while keeping the candidate experience top-notch.
š” Championing Culture:
Our company culture is something special, and I work to ensure it shines through at every stage of recruitment. From how we treat candidates to how we present ourselves on social media, itās all about showing the world who we are.
š A Team Player:
Iām part of an amazing team, and collaboration is at the heart of what I do. Whether Iām working with HR, operations, or department leads, I feel lucky to work alongside such supportive and talented people.
Being a Recruitment Specialist means wearing many hats, staying organised, and keeping a smile on my face ā because finding great people to join the team is something worth smiling about! š
And When I'm Not Recruiting?
I'm a dog lover, and my two miniature dachshunds, Elvis and Cash (yes, named after the singersš¤), keep me super occupied in my free timeĀ with their constant need for attention... It's a dachshund thing š«

I am also a brunch lover, so most weekends, you will find me in a hipster cafe eating some form of Australian-style brunch š„
