We're a Belfast headquartered, globally distributed team.
Our product is a powerful, cloud-scale artifact management platform that enables organizations to secure and manage their software supply chain, offering advanced security, observability, and integration features, making it a crucial part of CI/CD pipelines and software distribution.
How Did We Get Here?
Company founded
Founded in 2018 by Lee Skillen and Alan Carson, two frustrated engineers who wanted to assist with developers issues, they set out to create the solution - a platform that is built by developers for developers.
Series A Celebrations
$15M Series A - Dreams coming true!
the round would help us continue to build best-in-class technology for today’s software engineers and their organizations by evolving cloud-native package management and providing a secure, single source of truth for all software artifacts and assets.
Growing the Team
We had the money and now we needed the people. Up until Series A, Cloudsmith had been sub-20 heads spinning many and all the plates! We needed more hands, expertise, passion, drive = help!!
Welcome new CEO
Bringing in the big guns! We needed commercial focus and global optimism - we found Glenn! He very quickly became one of us and helped to recognise the gaps and needs to drive our rocket ship faster and smoother!

Our team are distributed across the island of Ireland, Great Britain and United States. We rely heavily on tools that allows us to work asynchronously, and we get together, on location, a number of times throughout the year. We continue to grow the team year on year so bonding, knowledge share and inclusivity is so important for us!
We don't shortlist on qualifications, we invest in individuals and their skills - if we find people with the same level of ambition as our current dream-team, folks who bring passion and innovation and who are willing to take Cloudsmith to the moon - we want them on our team!

Firstly, we have to say a huge thank you for applying. We will be carefully considering each application which may take us up to two weeks. Rest assured, you will hear from us in that timeframe.

In short, it honestly depends on the role you apply for.
For example, if you have applied for a technical role, this may include a technical assessment or for a sales role, you may be asked for a video intro about yourself as part of the application process.
We like to have a variety of Cloudsmithers meet with applicants during the interview process to assess different skills such as technical knowledge and ability, culture enrichment, industry experience, situational judgement etc.
During this current scaling period of growth at Cloudsmith, we know that every new Cloudsmither to join our party will make an inevitable impact. With that, we want to ensure a thorough process to gauge whether this could be the right fit. Don't forget, it's always a two-way street, and know you will be assessing us too!

Most likely your interviews will be online. At Cloudsmith, we use Zoom as our main video conferencing platform and Team Tailor as our ATS, so you can expect to receive any invitations to interviews with a video link from one of those two platforms.
That said, if you are located near a current Cloudsmither, we'd love to have you meet for a cuppa!

You'll never be left to your own devices, we have strong communication tools and detailed learning documentation to help new staff blend in. We also have a true open-door policy, you can drop any member of the team a quick slack message to set a time to meet, we're all very happy to help.
You may be invited to travel to our headquarters in Belfast for some onboarding training depending on the role. And if travel doesn't excite you enough - HQ is our home of swag, and swag is life, right?!
